Reasonably Priced, Fun Places to Take Kids in Lake County Florida

Lake County Florida - Here's What's Happening

Parents are always interested in finding inexpensive activities to keep their kids happy. Everything seems so expensive these days, but there are still options for reasonably priced, fun things to do with your kids in Lake County, Florida!

Check out Jungle Zone at 1960 Woodlea Road in Tavares, Florida. They're open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am - 6 pm, plus they occasionally open on other days as specified on their website. They call themselves "the premier indoor inflatable play park for children of all ages" and from their pictures, I think you'll agree! Their main inflatable features eight interconnected slides and bounce areas that they say can keep kids entertained for hours, plus they have a toddler-only area so the little ones can play safely on two inflatables and a soft play area. There is a two-lane obstacle course, a super bounce arena, big blobs where kids can compete to see who can stay on the longest, and a french fry forest. Not only that, but after all of the active play choices, kids can visit the arcade zone. If you're looking for a great place for a party, three private rooms can be booked. Parents not playing can relax in the parent's area with free WiFi in the lounge or massage chairs. Prices are $9.99 for children up to 3 years of age (one free playing adult included), $12.99 for ages 4-18, $9.99 for playing adults, and non-playing adults are free. Make sure to bring socks for everyone that will be playing. There is also a cafe where you can grab snacks and drinks for an additional charge.

A friend recently told me about Skate World at 424 North Palmetto Street in Leesburg, Florida. Sessions lasting several hours can be as low as $5 per person (Friday is Family Night, 7-9 pm, one parent free with each paying child). Other sessions lasting 3 hours are $7 per person (Saturday Day Skates 11:30 am - 2:30 pm or 3:00 - 6:00 pm, or Sunday Matinee, 2-5 pm, everyone pays to enter). On Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00 - 10:00 pm, children pay $10 and parents pay $5. They also offer Saturday All Day Specials from 11:30 am - 6:00 pm for $14 or 3:00 - 10:00 pm for $28. Special events are listed on their website as well, like Home School Day Skate, Thursday Family Night, and Adult Organ Music Skate. Skate rental is extra in all sessions - regular skates and inlines for $3 or speed skates for $5. There are beginner skating lessons on Saturdays starting on November 5, 2022 - for 4 weeks from 10:30 - 11:30 am for $40. Birthday parties can also be booked, either during public skating sessions or privately.
