Details on Flavors and Possible Pricing for Publix's New Seasonal and Holiday Ice Cream

People sometimes say that Floridians don't get to enjoy the seasons and therefore can't enjoy seasonal flavors like pumpkin spice or apple cider.

And although Florida's seasons admittedly aren't as pronounced as some others, Lakeland-headquartered Publix stores may disagree that Floridians can't enjoy seasonal or holiday flavors since the store has announced 9 new Publix-branded ice cream flavors.

The new offerings may be a nice choice for the upcoming cooler weather and holiday season. Here's a look at what is being offered:

Deep Dish Apple Pie: You don't need to make a homemade pie to enjoy the flavoring of this fall favorite. Publix's new apple pie ice cream has cinnamon sauce and pieces of pie crust in the product.

Pecan Turtle Edge: This flavor is an interesting mix of popular flavors, including butter pecan, fudge, and roasted pecans.

Caramel Mountain Tracks: This option includes toffee ice cream enhanced with caramel, pecans, and chocolate turtle candies.

Pumpkin Pie: Like the apple pie flavored ice cream described above, this one has pieces of real pie crust in the product, as well as pumpkin pie flavoring.

Snickerdoodle: The butter-flavored ice cream in this variety is enhanced with graham cracker cookie pieces.

Eggnog: This one is described as eggnog flavoring with a hint of nutmeg.

Marshmallow, Candy Cane & Cookie Blast: This ice cream might taste like biting into a marshmallow, and it's enhanced with bits of candy cane and cookies.

Santa's White Christmas: This option is based on Barney's "White Christmas" coffee and is enhanced with expresso flakes.

Peppermint Stick: This flavor is vanilla ice cream enhanced with bits of peppermint candy.

According to Publix's blog from 2021, their branded ice cream is one of their most beloved items. The company first began producing ice cream in 1980 at the Lakeland dairy manufacturing plant. Publix says that since that time, they have introduced hundreds of different flavors, but vanilla remains the best seller.

According to WFLA, the flavors are either available now or on their way, but once the flavors are sold out, they will not be replaced, and new flavors will be announced in the spring.

Although the company hasn't announced specific pricing, a quick search for Publix branded ice cream at a Tampa store shows that every flavor of Publix ice cream is priced at $6.33 for 0.5 gallons.
