The Hilton brand of hotels are world famous for being able to provide guests with a luxurious stay. This specific is housed in a former bank and the building actually still has its original vault and is recognized by Historic Hotels of America. The Hilton offers fantastic city views of downtown St. Louis and is a half-mile from the Gateway Arch, America's Center, and Busch Stadium. The rates for this hotel are surprisingly affordable, ranging from around $149 per night (175 with fees and taxes). If you search online and book in advance, you might even be able to beat those rates. Make no mistake, this hotel is by far one of the nicest in St. Louis.
The hotel was as nice or nicer than expected. The reviews were good and it was not overpriced so selected it. The arch and the park, and the old courthouse and old church, are all within a short walk from hotel. We loved seeing all 3. Arch is very impressive! Food choices were good, and we ate at Carmine's next door (can get to from the lobby) which we were also very happy with. Very pleasant staff. Cathy P.
Magnolia St. Louis
The Magnolia Hotel is so well-established it has been named to the National Historic Register and is a 2015 AAA Four Diamond Recipient. This location originally opened in 1924 and holds significant historical firsts including the first female general manager in St. Louis, is the origination of chocolates on a pillow by actor Cary Grant. Rates range from approximately $200 to 240 per night.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and amazed by the service we received for 2 days. Lady who was at reception was very polite and informative. She suggested a way on how to save money on car parking. We ended up paying $36 for 2 nights in garage across the street. They arranged champagne and chocolate coated strawberries in our suite to surprize us. Hotel location is very good, right in center of the city. Parking garage was very clean and safe. Whenever I visit St. Louis, I'll definately stay there again. Summit0788

This hotel is conveniently located downtown and within in walking distance of the convention center and plenty of restaurants. My room was clean and comfortable, and I was very impressed with the breakfast and hotel bar. The service at the front desk varied depending on who was on duty. (Some members of the staff were more friendly and helpful than others.) Parking was close and plentiful, and overall I really enjoyed my visit. I would definitely stay here again. Tina J.
