Plnt Burger is one of the first to partner with Good Catch to use its blend of six different beans and legumes to pass for flaky, flavorful fish filets. The idea came from one of the former research and development chefs from Beyond Meat, paired with Plnt Burger's own unique tartar sauce, and the result is one you have to taste to believe!
Plnt Burger's Spike Mendelsohn explained that he and his team are "sent at our home office in Bethesda anything that is in the market right now that is plant based. We've been able to build a little bit of that notoriety now that we have 8 locations."
While a variety of plant-based meat, chicken, fish, and sausage substitutes have wowed, the team admitted that others have been harder to champion. Mendelsohn specifically called out bacons and cheeses as the hardest products to replicate for taste, texture, and usability in Plnt Burger recipes, but Good Catch's fish filet is surprisingly believable.
The summer Sandlot pop-up marks the 8th location for Plnt Burger, which offers vegan and kosher versions of America's favorite foods.
