When I first started working from home, I was so excited. The idea of being able to work in my pajamas and eat breakfast at the table while checking emails felt like a dream come true. This is how most people picture their ideal day.

For many people, working from home is an absolute dream come true. It means the freedom to work on your own schedule and in more comfortable surroundings. But for some, this new type of lifestyle can actually be very challenging for staying productive and focused at work.

Imagine the freedom of being able to work from home. You can set your own hours, wear whatever you want, and be with your family more often. Sounds like a dream come true right? Well, it may not be all that it seems. Working from home has its pros and cons when it comes to productivity.

I believe that even if you have the best intentions when starting your day, after eight hours, you are often too tired or distracted by your surroundings to work efficiently--especially since most people in this digital age are not used to prolonged periods of concentration on one task at hand.
