The center has been absolutely delighted to offer this day, every month, since 2022. This is what the center says about the event:
“New in 2022, the Manatee Observation and Education Center is offering a free admission day on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. This is a fun, inexpensive way to spend time with family and friends and learn all about the Indian River Lagoon and of course, manatees.”

They also host events like the “Fin-Tastic Fish Feeding”:
“Join us for a fin-tastic feeding program on Wednesdays at 12pm or Saturdays at 2:00 pm!
The Manatee Observation and Education Center is a waterfront environmental education and wildlife viewing center located on Florida’s east coast in beautiful downtown Fort Pierce. It is home to over 30 fish species including lion fish, porcupine puffer fish, and a black edge moray eel. And their “Lunch and Lecture Series”:
“Join us the second Friday of each month at 12pm for informative lunch lectures by guest speakers that vary from biologists to writers & scientists to artists. This free lecture begins at noon. Bring a lunch, bring a friend, and discover something new!”
