  • Senior Movie Time at the Menomonee Falls Community Education and Recreation Center

If you are a senior looking for something to do during the day on Wednesday, head to the Menomonee Falls Community Education and Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This week you will be able to watch Julie and Julia on the big 73 inch TV. The chairs will be spaced out to allow for social distancing. Masks will also be required. The event is free, but you do need to register ahead of time.

  • Gong Sound Healing with Ron U. at Village Wellness Brookfield

Head over to the Village Wellness Brookfield from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for this gong sound healing event with Ron U. This is a one-hour session of sound healing. It uses a variety of gongs and crystal singing bowls to build a multi-sensory experience. Let Ron U. take you on a journey of healing and soothing sounds and vibrations designed to relax and renew you and your spirit. Ron is a sound healer, Shamanic Healer and Reiki Practitioner. You must pre-register due to social distancing guidelines. We may not be able to accommodate walk-ups because we may not have the room. Make sure to sign up early to make sure you get in. You should bring a pillow, mat and blanket and make sure to dress in layers to assure comfort. If you have any questions, contact Kolibri. No experience is necessary and it is not a physical yoga practice. Masks are required for safety. They will also be checking temperatures.

  • DIY Wood Sign Workshop at Martini Pete’s in Grafton

From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Martini Pete’s in Grafton, you can attend this fun DIY Wood Sign Workshop. This is a laid back workshop where you will be able to create a personalized wood sign, enjoy food and drinks. There will be customized stencils available to help you make the best sign you can. There will be over 400 designs to choose from with the option to customize different shapes and sizes. There are also many stain and paint color choices to help you create your one of a kind piece. You must pre-register to attend.

  • Mindful Moms Group at Authentic Birth Center in Wauwatosa

From 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. you can attend this mindful moms support group at Authentic Birth Center in Wauwatosa. It is designed to help new moms dealing with symptoms of anxiety, stress or depression to connect with other moms and find support to cope with upsetting thoughts and feelings. Babes in arms are allowed, but no other children. Masks are available and required to be worn at in-person groups at the center. This group does alternate in-person and virtual meetings and is free. Pre-registration is required.

  • Happy Hookers Drop in Knitting at Menomonee Falls Community Education and Recreation Center

Do you like to knit? Drop in to the Happy Hookers knitting group between 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Menomonee Falls Community Education and Recreation Center. You can knit for charity or work on any other project you like while meeting other knitters like you! This is a fun opportunity to make friends and hang out with others who like to knit.
