Things to do in and near Menomonee Falls on Friday, April 23rd.

We have made it through another week here in Menomonee Falls and it is finally Friday! After a week with snow and cold temperatures, I bet you want to get out! There are plenty of things in and around the area that you can find to do today!

  • West Vliet Street Art Walk

Starting at 5 p.m., you can check out the West Vliet Street Art Walk in Milwaukee. This event is designed to share the unique business district of West Vliet Street. You will be able to enjoy locally owned shops that offer fine crafts, arts, vintage and mid-century modern, fair trade, spring floral items, clothing and children’s books. Walk down the street and enjoy the murals, entertainment, interactive art demonstrations, children’s activities, food trucks and vendors. There will be easy access to parking all along Vliet Street. This is a great event to celebrate spring and the arts.

  • First Summer Friday Night Pop Up

Taking place on Barker Road in Brookfield, this event is being hosted by Chris Burmeister and Aaron Rodriguez. It is free to the public and the first official Friday meet of the year. Due to the amount of interest, this car event is moving to Elmbrook Church. The entrance is on Davidson Road. You will be able to check out some cool cars between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

  • Live Music with Mr Allstar

Head out to Milwaukee and Red Crab at 6 p.m. tonight for some live music! This Friday will feature Mr Allstar from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Enjoy great seafood and great music for a fun end to your week.

  • A Night on Broadway: WLHS Musical Theatre Revue

Join Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee tonight at 7:30 p.m. for a fun night of theater! The WLHS spring musical this year will be in the form of a revue that features many of Broadway’s all-time favorite and iconic songs. The tickets can be purchased at the reception window or online. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children through eight grade. This is a socially distanced event and you will be required to wear masks before, during and after the event. Enjoy this fun musical night!

  • J. Ryan Trio at Ally’s Bistro

Right here in Menomonee Falls at Ally’s Bistro, you can enjoy a fun night of music and food. The J. Ryan Trio will be playing from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This trio plays jazz and down home blues with a soulful feel. All proceeds from album sales and live performances are donated to local charities.

  • Totally 80’s Murder Mystery Dinner

If you are open to heading up to Neenah today, you can enjoy this Totally 80’s Murder Mystery Dinner! It is taking place at the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah. The event will be socially distanced with one table per group. Make sure to dress up in your favorite 80’s attire. At 5 p.m. there will be a cocktail hour followed by music of the acoustic duo with Harold Melo and Ellis M. Brown. At 6 p.m. you will get the 3 course plated dinner to enjoy. 7 p.m. begins the murder mystery portion of th evening! The tickets cost $41.99 plus tax and gratuity per person. All seating will be assigned ahead of time. The dinner menu features mixed green salad with dressings, dinner rolls and butter, grilled steak and pesto grilled chicken leg duet served with grilled asparagus and roasted parietal potatoes. The meal is finished off with tiramisu for dessert.
