Even though snow is in the forecast today, there are still plenty of things to do in and near Menomonee Falls that you can check out. These events are all inside, so you do not need to worry about what is going on with the weather outside. From art events, to classic movies to crafts, you are sure to find something fun to do.

  • Painting Party at Club 400

Head over to Waukesha tonight at 7 p.m. for a two hour painting party at Club 400 Bar and Grill in Waukesha. It features the experts from Stroke of Genius and is sure to make for a fun evening. For $30 you can select a 11 x 14 painting to recreate. You need to sign up online ahead of time.

  • Rise and Thrive: A Lives in Landscape Exhibit

LOTUS Legal Clinic is hosting a Rise and Thrive: A Lives in Landscape Exhibit in Milwaukee. It is open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Trigger Warning: This exhibit does reference graphic material and violence.

It will feature the work of 12 creative writers and 3 community artists and celebrates survivors through landscape paintings, short films and powerful survivor written narratives. It is taking place at the Northwestern Mutual Art Gallery at the Joan Steele Stein Center for Communication Studies/Fine Arts. Admission is free and there is free parking outside the main entrance on the east side of the building. You will need to check in at the student help desk when you enter.

  • West Bend Moose Lodge Craft Night

Head just a bit north of Menomonee Falls to the West Bend Moose Lodge and Family Center. It is free and taking place starting at 6 p.m. You will be painting a sunflower masterpiece for your home. The suggested size is 10 x 10 canvas, 250 GSM mixed media paper. Paint and brushes are supplied.

  • Spring/Summer Block Decor

The Art N Soul Design Studio is hosting a fun Spring/Summer Block Decor design event from 5:30 pm. through 8 p.m. You will be creating a double-sided spring/summer block decor to brighten up your home. There will be a variety of Junk Monkey paint colors for you to choose from. The workshop costs $45 per person and includes all supplies. No experience is necessary and space is limited in order to keep to social distancing guidelines.

  • Mini Macrame Plant Holder

Head up to West Bend and Xpressions Yarn, Bead and Gift Boutique for a fun evening of macrame. You will be creating this fun and trendy boho style mini plant holder. The workshop will teach you basic macrame knots to create this cute holder that can be home to a succulent, airplant or any plant that you choose. This event costs $25 plus tax and includes all supplies including the mini terracotta pot. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.

  • Singin in the Rain on the big screen!

Head over to the Avalon Atmospheric Theater in Milwaukee at 6:30 p.m. to watch the iconic movie, Singin in the Rain. Starring Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds, this is often considered the best musical of all time. It features gorgeous colors, fabulously choreographed dance sequences and stellar songs. It is such a fun movie to watch and the big screen will make it even better. Take your kids and introduce them to this magnificent and funny musical.
