On Saturday, January 28, 2023, The Original Hot Chicken restaurant will celebrate the grand opening of its newest Georgia location in Woodstock, according to local sources. However, the restaurant is currently open to the public.

The new Original Hot Chicken restaurant is located at 180 Parkway 575 in Woodstock near Starbucks, Wingstop, and the Goodwill Thrift Store.

According to this source, the world record-holding competitive eater Joey Chestnut will be attending the grand opening event to see how much mac-and-cheese he can eat in five minutes. There will also be a "chicken dance contest," with the winner being awarded a gift card worth $200.

The first 50 guests at the grand opening will receive "swag bags," and there will be food samples available so guests can try the restaurant's variety of sauces, according to a press release by the restaurant.

So far, the restaurant has received positive feedback from local patrons. For example, this is what one local customer named Roger had to say about the new Original Hot Chicken in a recent Google review:

People were super cool to be around. The prices are reasonable and the modern atmosphere was welcoming. I tried the chicken sando with the hot sauce and fries and a chicken tender with the Korean BBQ sauce. So far excellent flavor in regards to the chicken. Fries are simple crinkle cut but are fresh and crispy to pair well with whatever sauces you have on hand.

So if you happen to be in the Woodstock area, consider stopping by The Original Hot Chicken restaurant on Parkway 575 this weekend for their grand opening celebration.
