According to the South Dakota Lottery, a Mega Millions ticket that was recently sold at a South Dakota store matched all 5 of the winning numbers for the drawing on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, making the ticket worth $4 million.

The winning ticket was sold at the Corner Pantry located at 310 E. Fairmont Boulevard in Rapid City, according to the South Dakota Lottery.

If you purchased a ticket for Tuesday's drawing from this location, you should definitely double-check your numbers. You can check your ticket for Tuesday's drawing and any past or future drawing on the South Dakota Lottery website.

If you ever happen to find yourself with a winning lottery ticket in hand, the first thing you should do is sign the back of your ticket and put the ticket in a safe place, such as a locked desk drawer or security box, to prevent it from getting lost or stolen and redeemed by someone else.

Next, you'll want to contact one of the South Dakota Lottery validation centers in Rapid City, Pierre, or Sioux Falls to make an appointment to redeem your prize. Keep in mind that you have 180 days to claim your prize.

Even if you didn't win this time around, the next Mega Millions drawing will be held this Friday with a jackpot that is currently sitting at $940 million dollars.

Good luck, everyone!
