If you're looking for something free and fun to do downtown to celebrate Earth Day this year, why not check out the "Go Green" event happening in Market Square on Friday, April 22, 2022.

The Earth Day festivities will start at 11 am and conclude around 6 pm. There will be seven different local bands playing in the square throughout the day, including:

  • Kelsey Friday and the Weekenders (taking the stage at 12 pm)
  • Elias Khouri (1 pm)
  • Starling My Darling (2 pm)
  • Wave Trails (3 pm)
  • Evan Dean Band (4 pm)
  • Bindley Hardware Co. (5 pm)
  • Clinton Glegg Trio (6 pm)

In addition to great live music, festival-goers will enjoy a variety of eco-inspired educational events and activities throughout the day. For example, you can visit the educational area to learn more about electric transportation and car charging.

There will also be a "green wellness area" where visitors can interact with local businesses providing sustainable wellness products and other local environmental initiatives.

The event will host dozens of local "green" businesses, food vendors, music, activities, and more. It's the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day in downtown Pittsburgh.

The "Go Green" event in Market Square is free for anyone who wants to attend. Adults and kids alike are encouraged to join in the festivities.
