Human Remains Found in Stonebridge Court Fire
The demolition site of the home on Stonebridge Court~ Kimberly Forsythe. Last week, a large fire destroyed a home in the 4300 block of Stonebridge Court in the Ironwood subdivision. Since then, one of the home's occupants, 50-year-old Jose Javier Andrade, had not been seen or heard from since about 7 hours before the fire. While police were not treating the disappearance as suspicious, they were concerned for his safety and named Andrade as a missing person.

Anthony Allen, a 31-year-old father of two has been identified as the second victim in the fatal mass shooting that happened outside a Near North Side McDonald's located in the 800-block of North State Street last week. In total, 9 people were shot, 2 fatally. It happened just before 11 pm on Thursday.

Bloomington, IL - Early Sunday morning, police say there were two break-ins at local gun shops. The first happened Midwest Exchange pawn shop located at 1404 E Empire St, Bloomington. However, the thieves ended up leaving empty-handed as all of the firearms were locked securely in safes. Within an hour, another shop was hit. This time it was Smiley's Sport Shop, located at 2049 Ireland Grove Rd, Bloomington. This time, the thieves were able to make off with 24 pistols and one rifle.

On December 10, the United States experienced what could possibly be the 1st quad-state tornado. Preliminary information suggests the tornado was on the ground for more than 200 miles. It was part of a larger system that produced as many as 30 twisters. The deadly storms ripped through the states of Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky, killing as many as 100 people. The storm caused extensive damage to several areas, with the hardest hit being the town of Mayfield, Kentucky where a large swath of the town was flattened.

Champaign, IL - A single-vehicle accident occurred when the driver of a car apparently didn't realize the street ended at the intersection of North Elm and West Eureka streets in Champaign and ended up stuck on the embankment of the Detention/Recreation area also known as Mini Park VIII. The recreation area serves mainly as a drainage ditch to alleviate flooding. However, there is also a basketball court inside the ditch that serves as a small recreational park.
