(Forsyth County, GA) If you’ve been waiting for businesses at the City Center to finally open their doors, there’s more good news for you this weekend. Avenue of the Oaks and the Lily Rose Co. Marketplace are both hosting grand opening events on Saturday, April 15.
Lily Rose Co. features local, small-batch handmade goods like bath bombs, candles, and soaps. It also has a selection of home decor, skincare, apparel, and jewelry items. Its grand opening event will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The first 100 customers will receive a free grab bag featuring samples of Lily Rose Co. items.
Avenue of the Oaks is a carefully curated home decor and gifts shop featuring furniture, glassware, pillows, artwork, and more. The designer-owned store also has an array of seasonal decor items and unique gifts suitable for every occasion. Its grand opening event will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The first 50 customers will receive a gift bag and there will be a vintage fresh-flower truck outside ideal for photo opportunities and fresh spring blooms.
In other City Center news, organizers announced that the free spring and summer concert series will kick off on Friday, April 21 with a performance from Smokey Jones and the Three Dollar Pistols. According to the announcement, the band plays classic country hits from George, Merle, Hank, Buck, Dwight, Garth, Tom Petty, and more. The concert will be held at the Lou Sobh Amphitheater at 7 p.m. Food trucks will be available during the show.
