(Forsyth County, GA) Are burgers your significant other’s love language? If so, consider visiting the brand new Hopdoddy Burger Bar in The Collection this Valentine’s Day. The chain, which also features sandwiches, fried chicken, shakes, and a full bar is opening this Tuesday, February 14 in the space formerly occupied by Grub Burger Bar next to Mellow Mushroom.

To sweeten the deal, Hopdoddy is giving away free burgers to the first 100 people in line at 11 a.m. at all of their Atlanta locations. Besides the new location at The Collection, Hopdoddy also has restaurants on Briarcliff Road and Cobb Parkway SE in Atlanta and at Hammond Drive NE in Sandy Springs.

If you can’t be there that early, don’t worry – you can also enter a contest to win free burgers for a year by sharing a post or story about your Hopdoddy visit on Instagram, tagging @hopdoddy, and using #hopdoddylove.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar acquired Grub Burger Bar to create the combined HiBar Hospitality Group in January 2022. Both burger chains were based in Texas. Hopdoddy, which formed in 2010 in Austin, had restaurants in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and California before the chains combined.

Like Grub Burger Bar, Hopdoddy is a casual “better burger” restaurant. Their website boasts about the quality ingredients they use including fresh-baked buns, Tillamook cheese, pasture-raised eggs, and “ranch-to-table” beef from family farms in the Midwest.

Hopdoddy is also known for its hand-cut fries. Visitors can sample a variety of flavors including hot honey sage or parmesan truffle. You can even order nacho fries or sweet potato fries if that’s your thing. Rounding out the menu are handspun milkshakes in flavors like Nutella pretzel or salted caramel and craft drinks like margaritas and cocktails, plus an extensive wine and beer list.
