(Forsyth County, GA) Before long, west Forsyth County residents will have a new place to do their grocery shopping. A Publix store will anchor the Tribble Crossing shopping center at the intersection of Highway 20/Canton Highway and Post Road.
“The store is set to open sometime in the third quarter,” said Publix representative Nicole Krauss.
For shoppers who live near West Forsyth High School, this Publix location should be more convenient than the Castleberry Southard Crossing, Midway Shopping Center, or Freehome Village stores. The new Publix will be a full-service supermarket with bakery, deli, produce, seafood, meats, cheeses, and floral departments. Pharmacy and curbside pickup services will also be available.
The Tribble Crossing shopping center's scheduled completion date is July 2023.
Situated on 15 acres, the development will feature 85,000 square feet of retail space. For now, the only other publicly confirmed tenants will be a QT gas station and a Heartland Dental office.
The address of the new Publix will be 3620 Era Drive in Cumming.
Founder George W. Jenkins opened the first Publix grocery store in Florida in 1930. Today, Publix has more than 1,300 locations across the Southeast. Florida still has the most Publix stores, but Georgia comes in second with 197. Because present and former employees and members of the Jenkins family still own Publix, it is the largest employee-owned company in the United States.
