- Pet lover: Check out the PupUp Play Date at the Coal Mountain Dog Park from 11 am to 1 pm
- Hiking enthusiast: Don’t miss the guided hike at the Sawnee Mountain Preserve Visitor Center from 2 to 4 pm. You’ll get some great exercise and enjoy breathtaking views along the Indian Seats trail. There’s even a scavenger hunt to help get kids excited about joining the hike.
- Parent with young kids or teens: The PopUp Playground Playdate from 3 pm to 5 pm at Fowler Park will have activities for kids of all ages. Kids can enjoy the playground, trails, and skate park while enjoying an opportunity to meet new friends.
- Gamer: Head over to the Old Atlanta Park Recreation Center for free eSports play from 2 pm to 5 pm. There’s also a fun Super Mario-themed scavenger hunt around the park. Check out the park’s two play areas and nature trail while you’re there.
- Workout fan: Central Park, Fowler Park, and Old Atlanta Park all have recreation centers and host more than 75 fitness classes each week. On October 19, residents can try something new with free fitness class entry at all three recreation centers all day. Classes include barre, cardio, Pilates, Zumba, and spin options.
