The body of a woman was found in an alligator's jaws on Friday, September 22 in Largo. The scary thing is, that the woman was arrested just two months ago in the same area for trespassing.
According to an article published by The New York Post, the woman, Sabrina Peckman, 41, was arrested on July 14, 2023, for trespassing on the county wetland just four miles south of Clearwater. Peckman allegedly ignored a "Do Not Enter" sign and was hit with a misdemeanor, released from the county on September 8, and ordered to pay a $500 fine.
According to the report, a witness saw Peckman being dragged by the alligator and immediately rushed to alert a nearby fire department. Officials shot the alligator to death in order to retrieve Peckman's remains. The alligator was a 13-foot, 8.5-inch male.
