The state of North Carolina has a plethora of small towns and cities that are considered great places to call home. Rather you are looking for a slow-paced town or city where there is plenty to do, chances are you will find somewhere in NC that is a perfect fit for you and your family! A national publication just recently published an article naming the best places to live in 2023, and a city in NC not only made the list - but they came in at #2! In this article, we will take a look at which publication made the list, which city in NC made the list, as well as the other cities that made the list!

On February 6, 2023, studyfinds.org published an article titled, "Best Places To Live In America In 2023: Top Five Cities Most Recommended By Experts". The article goes on to state that a study conducted in 2022 by Lending Tree suggests that 40% of Americans were seriously considering moving to a new location. Other studies that the publication found include that the average American moves up to five times in their life and that 52% of people consider moving to a new city for their "dream job". So as you can see - there are a plethora of reasons for someone wanting to move to a new city or town! According to the publication, the city in NC that is the second best place to live in America in 2023 is none other than - Raleigh!

The top five includes Colorado Spring, Colorado at #5, Fayetteville, Arkansas at #4, Huntsville, Alabama at #3, Raleigh at #2, and coming in at #1 none other than - Ann Arbor, Michigan, which consistently gets ranked #1 as the best place to live in America on many platforms! According to the publication, Raleigh was ranked high due to the fact that the "state capital of NC" has a "mild year-round climate, a blossoming foodie scene, and plenty of opportunities to cheer for the hometown NC State Wolfpack"!
