Although the housing market has been brutal for the last few years for the majority of the country, that is not the case everywhere. As a matter of fact - the housing market has been on fire in several parts of the country and shows no signs of slowing down! A major national publication just recently published an article listing the "Top Emerging Luxury Housing Markets" in America, and an area in SC came in at #1! Not only that, but another area in SC made the list as well! In this article, we will take a look at which major publication made the list, which area in SC made the list, as well as other areas in the country that made the list as well!

On February 1, 2023, mansionglobal.com published an article named, "Forget Florida - South Carolina is the Top U.S. Luxury - Home Market". The article went on to say that the area in SC ranked "#1 in the fourth quarter of 2022 on The Wall Street Journal/Realtor.com Emerging Housing Markets Index". It was a huge jump for 12th place in the previous quarter. The area in SC that came in at #1 on the list is none other than - Hilton Head Island - Bluffton - Beaufort! According to the article, the area attracts buyers from across the country that are interested in "boating, golf, and miles of beaches". Of course, warm weather is also a plus! Another big reason the SC area came in at #1 is that an oceanfront home in the area is relatively cheaper than in other parts of the country.

The top 10 included Salt Lake City, UT at #10, Seattle - Tacoma - Bellevue, WA at #9, Charleston - North Charleston at #8, North Port- Sarasota - Bradenton, FL at #7, San Jose - Sunnyvale - Santa Clara, CA at #6, Boulder, CO at #5, Dallas - Fort Worth - Arlington, TX at #4, Nashville - Davidson - Murfreesboro - Franklin, TN at #3, Tampa - St. Petersburg - Clearwater, FL at #2, and of course Hilton Head Island - Bluffton - Beaufort at #1!
