In part I of this series, we reviewed the very popular "Roy's Grille" gas station restaurant in Lexington, South Carolina. Many people agreed that it is a hidden gem in the South Carolina area and has definitely earned the reputation of being one of the best in the business.

Today we take a look at another very popular gas station restaurant in the South Carolina area. Many say that they not only serve some of the best, fried chicken in South Carolina, but many also believe that the establishment has some of the best, fried chicken in America. According to "Only in Your State".

Inside the Marathon gas station in Eastover, you will find "Mr. Bunky's", an old-timey general store located just east of Columbia. The store is very unique, very nostalgic, and will instantly take you back in time as soon as you walk into the establishment. Mr. Bunky's has been open since 1981.

Mr. Bunky's sells everything from groceries, hardware, feed and seed, and if that is not enough - they even have a full-service butcher counter. So not only can you go to the popular general store to load up on gas, you can go and get everything you need for the week. Basically, a one-stop shop.

However, the biggest reason that most people go to Mr. Bunky's is for the food. The establishment has a full-service buffet and the top-selling food item is none other than their crispy, juicy fried chicken. Some even say that they also have some of the best sirloin steaks around as well. It's safe to say that if you do not get there early you will be in for a long wait, the secret is out and many people travel miles just to have lunch or dinner.

The restaurant inside Mr. Bunky's is open seven days a week for breakfast starting at 7:00 am to 10:30 am, and lunch and dinner from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm. They close at 3:30 pm on Sundays.
