Leland Tyler Wayne, better known by his stage name, Metro Boomin, is a lot of things. He is a Grammy award-winning music producer, a record executive, and even a DJ.
One of the best things about him is the fact that he is also a very generous person.
So much so, that when he got word that Aaron Salter Jr., the 55-year-old security guard that got killed in the "Buffalo Shooting" back in May 2022, Wayne reached out to Salter's son, Aaron Salter III, on social media and asked him how he could help, according to The Shade Room.
After the conversation, Wayne agreed to pay off the mortgage for Salter III and his mother, Kimberly Salter.
"How many producers you know look out for people when they need it most? Gotta say thanks to my favorite producer, Metro Boomin. He called me and asked if he could help me during my tragic loss and did just that! No more mortgage, paid in full!!! Thanks, Metro Boomin, I'll never forget what you did!" Salter III posted via his social media.
Salter III did not say how much Wayne gave him to pay off the mortgage.
The heroic bodyguard, Aaron Salter Jr., was one of ten people killed by a gunman in the Buffalo mass shooting at Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo, New York on May 14, 2022.
Although Salter Jr. was retired for four years from the Buffalo Police Department, he went back to school and was one course away from graduating with a communications degree from Canisius College before his untimely death.
The college honored Salter Jr. by giving his family an honorary bachelor of arts degree. Salter III accepted the diploma on behalf of his father during the school's graduation ceremony.
