Heart Strings

Fear will make you feel like you have the weight of the world sitting on your shoulders. Fear can show itself through petty actions and unfocused anger. Fear can fuel you to be an overachiever because you have a point to prove. Fear affects your character and how you perceive others. It can mask your conscious mind to what is right and what is wrong. When you are fearful, you do deceitful things to get ahead. You create fights when there is no fight. When you are fearful, you sabotage your co-workers project or your teammates performance. You step on another person’s back to climb the ladder of success. There is a difference between success and good success. Good success does not cause deliberate harm.

Fear is the opposite of faith. Be teachable: seeking knowledge and instruction from God. You will pass many pivotal moments in your life. Make sure you are moving forwards and not backwards. Fear is useless and the longer you hold on to it, the stronger its grip on your life. You have the power within you to command greatness.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand…Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, notable, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven. -Matthew 5:14-6. The bible says we are meant to be the light of the world. Feel confident in knowing you are meant to shine.

Study yourself and your motives and do not let old issues hold you hostage. God has given you the key to your freedom, you must be willing to put the key in the lock and turn it. Do not weigh yourself down with imaginary issues. In all things remember you are a beautiful, purpose-driven child of God. You can achieve anything your mind can conceive. Know that words fuel fear and become buried in your subconscious mind so watch what you say to yourself. Speak life.

It is a privilege for God to grant us his mercy and another opportunity to know him. Even though our minds have been warped with fear, trained in the world, and shaped in sin – God can still speak to our heart. We are blessed. God has allowed us to hear his word and that word has penetrated our mind, renewing our spirit.

God says, “…be not conformed to this world but by ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2. We are being brought to a place of transformation according to His will. When we rely on our brains to feed us and our heart to lead us. God is calling for us to be led in spirit and truth.

“Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the doorposts of thine house and upon thy gates, that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord swore unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you to do them — to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to cleave unto Him-”. Deuteronomy 11:18-22.

We must abide by God’s word and if that means writing scriptures on everything around you to keep you focused, do it. Take the actions necessary to be spiritually fed. God calls us live in his truth. “If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Be steadfast and immovable in your quest to know God. When we know the word of God, we will not be tricked by the spirit of fear. We must be serious in our mission to pray and work.

The potential you have will not come into fruition if you do not do the inner work needed to elevate.

2 Peter 2-9, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, according as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Thereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And besides this, using all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge, and to knowledge temperance, and to temperance patience, and to patience godliness, and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you and abound, they make you that ye shall be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”

God’s demand on your life is far greater than the expectations of the world. God will move you to greater, you must be willing to accept your worthiness. God is changing us by showing us where we need to direct our attention. We must have an attitude rooted in humility to accept this communication in its entirety. Remember, you are the sum of your thoughts and the answer to your actions. God leads us away from fear and into our purpose. In all things, be mindful of your spirit.
