I have run into countless people who are in one stage in their life, yet they are acting like they are in another. There are women who neglect their children yet have time to go out with their friends every chance they get. I have met men who are married with children yet are activity on dating websites portraying themselves as if they were single. These individuals have certain responsibilities, yet they are still living like they do not. Who are you when no one is around? We must be able to identify which relationships work for us and which do not. Arguments can be fruitful as long as it gets to the root issue and commences change. When you are in a relationship with someone and you argue over different points of views, it can be frustrating. When you offend someone who you have built trust with, this can lead to the breakdown of your entire relationship. Trust is delicate between people. We must take care of how we treat the ones we claim to value. While it is one thing to have a misunderstanding, it is another thing to be intentional in miscommunicating.

God wants us to have peace in our relationships. We achieve harmony when we conform to God’s will. We are called to love one another and that starts from within and expands throughout. We must be actively loving and display kindness to those in our homes before being focused on those outside of our home. Make sure you take care of home first. When we are out of alignment with God, we become blind to the hurt we are causing for ourselves and others. Ephesians 5:28 tells us, “In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.” This bible passage reminds me of my friend Cassie. My girl Cassie has been married to Michael for what seems like forever. I asked Cassie how she and Michael have stayed happily married so long, and she said the key was sacrifice.

Now is the time to grow strong in your weakness. No matter what situation we are going through, we must remember to submit to the will of God. During every situation, call on things as though they are. You are not in real faith until you cannot see your way out of a situation. You are anointed by going through the fires of life. Sometimes the fires are big, and some are small, either way it is a fire. This is a constant cycle. Every time we go through something, we still must go through something else. Fear will make you feel like you have the weight of the world sitting on your shoulders. Fear can show itself through petty actions and unfocused anger. Fear can fuel you to be an overachiever because you have a point to prove. Fear affects your character and how you perceive others. It can mask your conscious mind to what is right and what is wrong. When you are fearful, you do deceitful things to get ahead. You create fights when there is no fight. When you are fearful, you sabotage your co-workers project or your teammates performance. You step on another person’s back to climb the ladder of success. There is a difference between success and good success. Good success does not cause deliberate harm.
