NASHVILLE, TN — Tennessee Brew Works just announce a new release of its very own first lager beer, Urban Hiker, this Friday, Aug. 20, 2021.
Urban Hiker will be officially released to the public on Friday, Aug. 20 in the taproom at 809 Ewing Ave., with a special release of draft and six-pack. The beer will also be available to purchase in limited quantity at several craft beer bars and restaurants in Middle Tennessee, Chattanooga, and Knoxville areas in the following week.
The lager beer, Urban Hiker, was created and brewed under the guidance of an award-winning brewer, Matt Simpson. Simpson had been working for Tennessee Brew Works since 2016 as the head brewer at Tennessee Brew Works, and Urban Hiker is one of the fulfillment of his passion in creating a lager for Tennessee Brew Works.
This beer is a light-bodied Tennessee lager with subtle malt sweetness balanced by honeydew and floral hop aromas and flavor, with a finishing touch of crisp and refreshing beverage. Urban Hiker has an ABV of 4.2 percent and an IBU of 15.
Bryce McCloud, a legendary Nashville artist, was the one behind the Urban Hiker's label artwork. The label also recognizes the work of Alyssa Gayle, who has helped Tennessee Brew Works for six years.
Tennessee Brew Works recommended taking the beer on camping trips and hiking trails or accompaniment to bar-hopping in Nashville.
