Chinese Restaurants in Pocomoke City, MD: Sushi, Dumplings, Soup, and More

Katie Cherrix

I've eaten a lot of Chinese, Japanese, and Asian food in my life. In my early twenties, I rented a room from a sweet Indonesian couple who happily shared their home-cooked, traditional meals with me every single day. (I must have gained 20 pounds in the nine months I lived with them.)

In my childhood, I was captivated by Asian cuisine, always begging to get Chinese take-out or instant, Kimchi-flavored noodles from the store. As an adult, my craving for dumplings is darn-near constant.

As a Worcester County local, Pocomoke City is the closest place for me to grab sushi or Chinese. Fortunately, there are three excellent places to get this delicious cuisine any night of the week in Pocomoke. I love them all equally, and I think you will too.

Lin's Asian Cusine

If you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy an intimate date night or family dinner, Lin's is your best bet for Chinese and Japanese food. The star of the show at Lin's is undoubtedly the sushi. The Love Roll is one of their best specialty rolls, but you can never go wrong with a simple, affordable tuna roll. If you like sashimi, the sushi sashimi deluxe is unbelievably delicious and satisfying. The Chinese dishes come in generous portions and are served by super polite staff members. Warm up with a mug of hot tea or a savory bowl of wonton soup.

Number One China Buffet

As the name suggests, this is the go-to place to eat your favorite Chinese dishes buffet-style. The dining room is small and can be a bit cramped during busy hours, but most of the time there is ample space to navigate the buffet and enjoy a relatively peaceful meal. Start with a soothing bowl of wonton soup before moving on to the entrees. Choose from chicken and broccoli, pepper steak, lo mein, and many more delicious options. Snacks and sides include egg rolls, chicken on a stick, gyoza, and so many more. Last, you can fill up a dessert plate with Chinese donuts, fresh fruit, and pudding before going back for round two.

Golden Garden

When it comes to Chinese take-out in Pocomoke, Golden Garden rules supreme. It's hard to give recommendations for this place because everything they cook comes out tasting like heaven. The egg rolls are fat, hot, and perfectly crispy. The veggies are fresh, and the proteins are seasoned to perfection. Lo mein and fried rice are old stand-bys, but I love branching out and ordering something from the Szechuan menu every once in a while.
