Windermere, FL… Azpira at Windermere’s lakeside, resort-like assisted living and memory support community is a far cry from the North Pole, but nonetheless holiday gift making is well underway!

At the top of the “nice” list are Windermere’s first responders who work nights, weekends, and holidays to keep everyone at Azpira senior living and the greater Windermere community safe and sound. As such, Santa’s senior helpers are filling stockings to present as gifts for area police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. The stocking stuffers include goodies to help first responders keep up their stamina during the busy and sometimes stressful holiday season.

Azpira’s resident “elves” say they experience joy and fulfillment by helping others, especially during the holidays. “No one ever became poor from giving,” says Azpira resident Nancy, who is helping to fill stockings.

Donations are welcome! If you would like to donate items, please drop them off by December 12 to Azpira at Windermere, located at 13798 Speer Island Drive, Windermere, FL.

Requested stocking stuffers for first responders:

· Bottled water

· 5-Hour energy drink

· Candy bars

· Nuts

· Gum

· Granola/energy bar

· Oranges or clementines

· Chapstick

· Hand sanitizer

· Fun socks
