Pflugerville, Texas – The city of Pflugerville has approximately 3,128 public trees that occupy 45% of the sites available for median and street trees. This suggests that over 55% of tree sites have not been filled with trees. Pflugerville Tree Experts, a company that handles tree maintenance procedures in the city, has decided to work with property owners to expand Pfluggerville’s urban forest.
The company’s CEO noted the following when making the announcement, “In 1990, we had a population of only 4,444 people. This increased to over 16,000 in 2000 and over 30,000 in 2008. In 2021, we have a population of more than 67,000 people. It comes as a surprise to learn that our tree population has not reflected the same growth as our people population. The current population needs more trees to live a healthy life – the trees will rid our breathing air of greenhouse gases, cool the environment, and reduce the rate of climate change. Over the next 10 years, we intend to work with property owners to grow the number of trees in our city.”
The Pflugerville Tree Experts CEO noted that commercial properties around the city happened to be the most underserved areas when it comes to trees. While most homeowners had put in some effort to plant trees for the shade or the aesthetic appeal, most commercial properties are still bare, with just a couple of trees spread widely over large areas.
“Commercial property owners are the first people we will talk to,” said the Pflugerville Tree Experts CEO, “We will help them realize that trees increase the value of commercial properties and could even allow them to enjoy higher rents. We will then advise them on the best trees to plant and even offer guidance on how to plant the trees correctly.”
The CEO noted that encouraging property owners to plant more trees will not be the only goal for the company. He noted that his team will also be involved in activities that help with the protection of trees around the city. According to the CEO, tree maintenance procedures like tree pruning and tree trimming can improve tree health, which will boost the lifespan of the trees currently standing in the city.
“By protecting the current trees,” said the CEO, “We will be avoiding tree removal. This will help our urban forest grow instead of reducing.”
Pflugerville Tree Experts will be making its urban forest expansion plans from its base at 4701 Priem Ln, Pflugerville, TX 78660, United States. Homeowners interested in talking to the company can use +1 512-648-4452 or email@example.com.
