Headliners of this year’s "Dirty Boots Country Fest" in Hagerstown, Md., Davisson Brothers Band have been featured in Rolling Stone’s list of “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know” for their unique sound, described as “a mix of country and rock with a heavy dose of their native Appalachia.” Country music news website TheBoot.com has hailed them as “the next level of Southern country” music.
In January, 2022, Davisson Brothers Chris and Donnie signed a global publishing and artist development deal with Anthem Entertainment Group and Chris Janson’s Old Tom Music Publishing. The band plans to release their much-anticipated third album—produced by legendary producer David “Fergie” Ferguson (who has produced records for Tyler Childers, Johnny Cash, and Sturgill Simpson to name a few) in early- to mid-2022. The album features guest appearances by renowned recording artists including Rob McCoury, Brent Cobb, and Dave Roe.
Lost Creek, WVa. natives (and brothers) Donnie Davisson (on lead vocals and rhythm guitar), and Chris Davisson (on lead guitar and slide guitar), along with long-time friend Aaron Regester (drums) draw from their Appalachian heritage and a wide array of musical influences. Davisson Brothers Band combines Southern rock, country, and bluegrass to create a distinctive and progressive acoustic sound.
After spending over a decade touring and honing their rootsy blend of old- and new-world country, the Davisson Brothers Band issued their self-titled debut in 2009, which ranked in Billboard magazine’s Top 40. In 2015, they released their most well-known single, “Jesse James,” accompanied by a music video that reached the Top 20 on the Sirius Radio country chart and received substantial radio airplay. In 2018, the band released their sophomore album, Fighter, and in 2020, their newest single, “Pond Fishing.”
The Davisson Brothers Band spends much of their time on the road, playing festivals and shows across the US. Their acclaimed performance at CMC Rocks the Hunter Festival in Australia cemented their growing international fanbase. We think the Davisson Brothers Band is best appreciated LIVE—and are thrilled to have them headline the Dirty Boots Festival in 2022!
What can you expect from the Davisson Brothers Band—live? The band is known to tailor their setlist to the audience, resulting in intense fan engagement and honest, crowd-rockin’ country music. They’ll be out there bringing the blood, sweat, and tears from the American heartland to a world that increasingly recognizes and appreciates the real thing.
