Bring family and friends, and get your barnyard boogie on! Green Meadows Petting Farm in Ijamsville, Md., is hosting their second monthly First Friday Barnyard Band & Booze event this Friday, July 2, 2021.
One of Frederick County’s #hiddengems, The unique, country-chic atmosphere at Green Meadows Farm provides picturesque views and nearly 300 farm animals, all nestled 10 minutes south of Frederick and 50 minutes from Washington, DC.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, pop-up tents, and lawn games for an evening of fun for the whole family, surrounded by gorgeous landscapes, fresh air, and the groovy sounds of Betting on Austin, a three-piece classic rock band.
Looking to make some Instagram-able memories with a few furry friends? The animal barn, play areas, and the corn crib play silo will all be open during this event, and Facepaint by Vicki and Friends will be onsite for the kids to express their wild side.
BYOB or enjoy an adult beverage from one of three Frederick County vendors: Idiom Brewing Company, known for their unique craft beer and hard seltzer brews; award-winning McClintock Distillery, named Maryland’s best gin distillery in 2018; and Loew Vineyards, a family-owned vineyard located in Mt. Airy, with roots in Europe.
Your snacks from home are welcome, but you just might want to skip the charcuterie tray this time because some stellar food options will be parked and ready to tempt your tastebuds. Jimmy’s Famous Seafood specializes in Maryland-style seafood classics with just the right amount of Old Bay. With a tagline like “satisfy your meat tooth,” IN10SE BBQ (pronounced “In-tense Barbecue”) promises to be bringing on the smoke with pulled pork, pit beef, and other slow-cooked specialties.

This event will be held rain or shine. The barn is available in the event of rain.
