From April through October, the Shelby County Farmers’ Market is open Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. With over 20 farmers and artisans from Shelby County and surrounding areas, they’ve brought fresh produce and a variety of baked and handmade goods to the community since 2001.

Simpsonville Farmers’ Market
Located in the Wiche Pavilion on 106 Old Veechdale Road, Simpsonville, KY, this farmer’s market is host to local farmers and artisans who bring an assortment of meat and dairy products, fresh produce, floral items, crafts, and a whole lot more.

Gallrein Farms
Open from April through October, Gallrein’s offers bedding plants, perennials, shrubs, gifts, honey, eggs, preserves, and a variety of other locally made items. Their famous sweet corn and abundant other produce are available starting in July. The café and bakery, open July through October, serves up lunch, homemade fudge, and other delicious treats.
Gallrein’s also has a petting zoo, and they often host weekend festivals with food and family activities, such as fall hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a corn maze, and more. In addition, they host school and other group field trips. They’re conveniently located at 1029 Vigo Road in Shelbyville, not far from town. Mulberry Orchard
Mulberry Orchard, open from July through October, specializes in their home-grown peaches and apples. Located at 1330 Mulberry Pike in rural Shelbyville, they also offer fresh vegetables, honey, beef, delicious homemade apple cider donuts, and other local food products, artisan crafts, and gifts.
You’ll find a delicious assortment of hot and cold sandwiches, sides, desserts, and beverages at their Mulberry Kitchen, located on the premises. If you have kids, plan on spending a little extra time at the Orchard in their farm themed play area, and say hello to the baby goats, too.
