The Dunafon Castle
Hola Coloradans! If you're planning your wedding in and around Denver, don't miss out this gorgeous wedding destination -- The Dunafon Castle. In fact, if you consider having vows renewal in future, please bookmark this place.
This castle is located 15 miles west of Denver in the beautiful Lair o’ the Bear Park. A breathtaking view of surrounding mountains with the pristine waters of Bear Creek.
This castle was designed and developed by an engineer named Marcus Wright in 1929. As there was no electricity available in the Bear Creek area during that time, he made use of the overshoot water wheel. Keeping the similar features of ancient castles including turrets, tunnels, and handmade light fixtures, he installed wheelchair accessibility at that time when it was not a building requirement.
When Mr. Wright died, the Barnes family acquired this castle in 1969. Unfortunately, the Barnes died in an Air Egypt Flight 990, which mysteriously went missing. Their only surviving daughter, Lisa Barnes, could not manage this huge property all alone and so with the current owner of Jefferson Natives, they managed to restore the property to its former self.
This seventeen-acre stunning setting offers 1500-feet of private trout ponds and surrounding the Lair o’ the Bear Park for hiking, walking, and biking, which is part of Jefferson County.
The event fees, caterer list, and contact details are listed on their website.
So don't wait and check out this premier wedding venue.
