The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) of the Maryland Transportation Authority (MTA) released its Fall 2022 Service Plan which includes service enhancements, adjustments and discontinuing routes.
Due to low ridership the changes include discontinuing Express BusLink 104 and portions of other bus routes. Detailed information on all changes can be found here.
There will be three virtual public hearings held where community members can give feedback about the proposed changes. The hearings will take place on Tuesday, May 24, and two will be held on Wednesday, May 25.
The public comment period will close on June 27 at midnight.
MDOT MTA is proposing the changes to improve reliability and travel time as the transportation system continues rebounding from COVID-19.
Final service changes will be announced mid-August and go into effect on August 28.
