On Monday, all courts in Maryland resumed full operations, including jury trails in criminal and civil cases in circuit courts.

Court of Appeals of Maryland Chief Judge Joseph M. Getty sited a decline in COVID-19 health metrics as the reason in his administrative orders announced on Feb. 18, announcing the Maryland Judiciary would return to Phase V of its progressive resumption of operations.

As stated in the order, face masks are voluntary and all other health measures are no longer required. The administrative judges of the circuit court and the District Court in each county and Baltimore city are to determine if any health measures are necessary according to their local health mandates.
