The Baltimore County Police Department has shared some online shopping safety tips for everyone to keep in mind during this seasons Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday is the online version of Black Friday where thousands of stores have major discounts for the holiday season.

Protect your packages from porch pirates

Since the holiday season is upon us and may people will be ordering things online and having them delivered, it's important to protect your packages from porch pirates. Porch pirates are people who steal packages from doorsteps. The Baltimore County Police Department wants to make sure your packages are safe and secure and offer the following tips on how to do so.

Howard Street's Mayfair Theater to be remodeled into apartments

Yonah Zahler, a Baltimore real estate developer, is taking on the task of remodeling the famous Mayfair Theater into apartments while preserving the parts of the theater that are still standing. The theater has sat vacant for decades and its three back walls are gone, but Zahler plans to make it into 93 apartments units, parking and amenity spaces. The building will be designed by Moseley Architects, and it will be named Mayfair Place.

The library wants you to have a say in how it spends its new funding dollars

Baltimore County Public Library would like to hear from you on how to prioritize the federal pandemic funding under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The meeting is set for today at 6 p.m. to discuss the allocation of these funds, so it's your last chance to fill out the American Rescue Plan Act Community Survey and share what you would like to see.
