Get $10 credit on two uber rides through the holiday season

Governor Larry Hogan announced that a new partnership is launching today to provide 1,000 Uber ride credits worth $10 each to Marylanders for a sober ride home. These $10 rideshare credits will be available beginning today at 4 p.m. through 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1. To redeem the $10 credit, Marylanders can open the Uber app, choose Wallet from the menu on the top left corner, and scroll to the Promo Codes section. Marylanders can use the code “MAKEAPLAN2021” and $10 will be applied to your account. Each rider is limited to two $10 credits during the campaign while the supplies last.

$150 million deal to redevelop Royal Farms Arena up for approval

A deal to redevelop Royal Farms Arena is headed to the Board of Estimates for approval today. $150 million would be used to gut and redesign the interior of the aged arena at 201 W. Baltimore St. with the help of debt financing and equity investors who include NBA All-Star Kevin Durant. The agenda for the meeting can be found here.

Herring Run trail along Hopper Road to be fixed

Today's Board of Estimates agenda includes the contract award to fix the Herring Run trail along Hopper Road. The Board is requested to approve a one-time contract amount of $43,800 to renovate and expand the trail, including an underpass that will directly connect the Lake Montebello recreation area to Herring Run Park.
