(Forsyth County, GA) Several counties in north Georgia, including Forsyth County, are under a heat advisory through 8 p.m. today.
According to the National Weather Service, heat index values of 105 to 109 degrees are expected today on Monday, August 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Scattered thunderstorms are also possible this evening and through the night, potentially bringing damaging winds, frequent lightning and heavy rainfall to the area.
The hazardous weather could continue through 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15.
