(Forsyth County, GA) The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recently approved the funds for two Parks & Recreation Department improvement projects during its work session meeting on Tuesday, March 7.
Shady Grove Campground
The BOC approved $76,940 to The Surface Master, Inc to resurface and restripe a portion of the road at Shady Grove Campground at 7800 Allyn Lane Memorial Way in Cumming.
Coal Mountain Park
The BOC approved $200,000 to the Playground Creations division of American Architectural Design Specialties, Inc. to design and install a playground at Coal Mountain Park at 3560 Settingdown Road in Cumming.
The new playground will replace the current one, which is 21 years old. The funds will also go toward replacing the rubber surface of the universal playground closer to the front of the park.
All items will have to be given final approval at the next BOC regular meeting on Thursday, March 16.
