(Forsyth County, GA) Forsyth County and other areas in north Georgia are under a Dense Fog Warning through noon today.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for north and central Georgia until noon on Tuesday, January 31.

Visibility could be limited to a quarter of a mile or less. The NWS advises drivers to slow down, use headlights and leave plenty of distance between cars.

Heavy rain is also expected from Thursday, February 2 through Friday, February 3 throughout the area. The rainfall could bring one to two inches of water to the area, elevating the risk for rivers and streams flooding.

More information can be found on the National Weather Service website.
