Forsyth County Commissioners approve $1.29M in construction bids for transportation projects

(Forsyth County, GA) A number of road projects may soon be underway after the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved almost $1.29 million at its work session on Tuesday, August 23. All items will also have to be approved at the BOC regular meeting on Thursday, September 1.

McGinnis Ferry Road Widening Project

Three motions were approved to allow for money to be spent on the McGinnis Ferry Road widening project:

  • A motion was passed to approve $131,236.00 to Atlas Technical Consultants for out-of-scope design services for the McGinnis Ferry Widening Project
  • A motion was passed to approve $338,588.00 to Atlas Technical Consultants for design revisions and design support for the McGinnis Ferry Interchange Project.
  • A motion was passed to approve $221,879.00 to Atlas Technical Consultants for design support for the Mcginnis Ferry Widening Project

Bethelview Road Widening Project

A motion was passed to approve an invoice from the Georgia Department of Transportation in the amount of $120,817.98 for more construction on the Bethelview Road Widening Project.

SR 369/400 Project

A motion was passed to approve $60,237.25 to Vertical Earth for the SR 369/400 Interchange project.

Jewell Bennett Intersection

A motion was passed to approve $82,020.00 to Atlas Technical Consultants for project support for the SR 9 at Jewell Bennett Road Intersection Improvements.

Brannon Road Sidewalk Project

A motion was passed to approve $132,304.00 to Heath & Lineback Engineers, Inc. for project support and Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services for the Brannon Road Sidewalk Project.

Shiloh Road East Roundabout Project

A motion was passed to approve $132,304.00 to Heath & Lineback Engineers, Inc. for project support and Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services for the Shiloh Road at Shiloh Road East Roundabout project.

SPLOST

A motion was passed to approve $69,571.04 to Atlas Technical Consultants for the SPLOST Program Management Purchase Order.
