(Forsyth County, GA) A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for North and Central Georgia until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14.
Damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning and isolated hail up to the size of a quarter are all possible hazards of the storm, according to the National Weather Service.
Scattered thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoons and evenings, are also possible through Thursday, June 16.
A heat advisory is currently in effect for most of Central and North Georgia with heat index values between 100 and 110 degrees. This weather is expected through Friday, June 17.
