(Forsyth County, GA) The National Weather Service in Peachtree City posted its first Heat Index graphic of the year on their Facebook page as North Georgia was hit with temperatures in the low 90s on Thursday, May 19.
Friday, May 20 is expected to see similar weather with a high of 92 degrees before dropping down to the 80s over the weekend.
Potential hazardous weather in North and Central Georgia is also a possibility with isolated thunderstorms predicted for this afternoon and evening. Some of these storms could become strong to severe, producing gusty winds and hail.
Storms are also expected from Saturday, May 21 through Wednesday, May 25.
