This “Spring Fling'' isn't a dance. The Forsyth County Animal Shelter’s special offer is to waive adoption fees during its “Spring Fling” through April 11.

Shelter employee Chelsea Beebe said they do have other sales throughout the year like the “Home for the Holidays” and “Summer of Love” sales, but that the “Spring Fling” special is new.

“We're kind of starting to push to do more of those throughout the year so that way we can help get more animals home,” Beebe said.

Adoption fees, which include vaccinations and microchipping, are normally $85.

“All the animals are spayed and neutered,” Beebe said. They're current on flea and tick, heartworm prevention for dogs, internal parasite prevention and microchipped as well. So they're pretty much ready to go.”
