From its natural beauty to its one-of-a-kind individuals, Pennsylvania is an incredible location to live. Unfortunately, despite being such a beautiful state, Pennsylvania, like other states, has its share of challenges. One of them is that there are many dangerous cities in Pennsylvania. Let's take a look at some of them according to the latest data from the FBI is from 2018.

McKees Rocks

McKees Rocks sits at the top of the list of Pennsylvania's most dangerous cities. McKees Rocks, which has a population of little under 6,000 people, saw 100 violent offenses in 2018. Aggravated assaults accounted for 60 violent crimes, robberies for 27, rapes for eight, and killings for five. On the other hand, property crime totaled 280, with larceny/theft accounting for the bulk (206).


Uniontown is home to 9,751 Pennsylvanians and has seen a total of 136 violent crimes, including 111 aggravated assaults, 22 robberies, two rapes, and one murder. Property crimes were substantially more common, accounting for 455, including 369 larceny/thefts.


Chester has a population of little more than 34,000 people. In 2018, there were 474 violent offenses reported. There were 286 aggravated assaults, 159 robberies, 18 murders, and 11 rapes reported. Property crimes were also prevalent, with 1,151 said, 642 of which were larceny/thefts and 352 burglaries.

Keep in mind that these are not the only cities that are pretty dangerous in the US. For example, another research mentions Scranton as the most dangerous city in Pennsylvania.
