Cambridge History
On the banks of Charles River, lies the city of Cambridge. Its first settlers Thomas Dudley and his family were from England and named it Newtowne. With the construction of the West Boston Bridge, the city was connected to Boston and started to grow rapidly. It started as an industrial center and then flourished as an intellectual one. The Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, some of the most prestigious schools, bring students here from all over the world.

Longfellow House - built in 1759, this is the house of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, a famous American poet. It is also a National Historic Site. This is the home of the poet and a place that served as the headquarters for General George Washington during the Revolutionary War between 1775 and 1776.
