Ontario is a city in southern California with plenty of things to do and see. Being a diverse place you can find anything from wine country to wilderness, with an urban center and a thriving arts community. No matter what you are looking for you’re going to find it here, Ontario is also a great vacation spot boasting a thriving art scene, picturesque historic downtown, various shopping malls, and numerous attraction sites where tourists can sit back relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Ontario is a beautiful city with a lot to do and here are some of my top recommended things to do in Ontario:

Beginners guide to the City

Have you ever had that feeling of visiting/living in a place and not knowing what to do there? Well if so, here’s a list that includes the various tourist attractions and the general weather of the area. There are ample resorts, hotels, and Airbnb’s in the area you can travel with peace of mind knowing you’ll get a place to sleep in your stay in Ontario. The nights too aren’t dull as there plenty of bars and nightclubs that will keep you entertained through the night.

The Planes of Fame Air Museum

The Planes of Fame Air Museum houses airplanes from as far back as world war two, if you love aviation history then this museum will surely leave you thrilled. The museum also has planes that are fit to fly and these planes give spectacular air shows to those who visit the museum.

Shopping malls

The city also has several shopping malls whereby the visitors and locals can do their shopping examples of these malls are, The Ontario Mills and The Victoria Gardens Mall which is an open-air shopping mall.

Go Hiking

The North Etiwanda Preserve which houses its own waterfall -The Etiwanda falls provides a good environment to carry out hiking as one enjoys the beautiful scenery California has to offer.

Visit the Museum of history and Art

The city of Ontario which is a thriving arts community has various art museums whereby visitors can go to see to see art exhibits and learn some bit of history; examples of these museums are, The Chaffey Community Museum of Art and The Ontario Museum of History and Art.

Visit the Graber Olive House

While you are still in Ontario you can pay a visit to the oldest existing business in Ontario the Graber’s Olive House which will for sure impress you as they produce fine olives which will leave you wanting more. You can also stop by the Graber Olive House preferably during harvest time for a guided tour and see the process that goes into the olives from harvesting, cleaning until they are canned.

Visit the Regional Park

The Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park offers a great space for outdoor fun and not only does the park have a water park for those who might be seeking the thrill but it also has two lakes on the property whereby the visitors can go fishing and take boat rides.

Visit the Botanical Garden

The Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Garden is the largest botanical garden dedicated to California native plants; you can visit this living museum if fauna interests you.

Go Golfing

If you are a sportsperson visit the Whispering Lakes Golf Course which is owned by Ontario city for a fun time golfing.

Ontario is a city of extremes; you can find both the highest and lowest temperatures here, the area also receives more rainfall in the winter as compared to the summer. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy this city, give it a try.
