California is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Here in this article, I'm sharing with you some must-do and must-see things in this beautiful country.

Introduction to the Golden State

California has endless wonders to offer. One of those wonders is the coastal, clear waters that border the state and can be easily accessed along the famous Pacific Coast Highway. Explore the ocean in a kayak or surfboard. Catch a sunset cruise and enjoy breathtaking panoramas, while capturing pictures of your favorite landmarks along the way. While heading down the Pacific Coast Highway you will likely see celebrities. Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon, and other top Hollywood stars have all graced the stage with their presence.

San Francisco

While in San Francisco, I went to Chinatown. It was quite the experience. I could have spent hours just walking the streets of Chinatown but alas, I didn't have that much time so I continued on to the de Young Museum. I also visited the famous stations and the harbor. I really advise you to do the same. It's really really worth it.

Los Angeles

Travails in LA Los Angeles is an experience in itself. The sheer size and the number of people living in that area is simply mind-blowing. Everywhere you turn, there's something amazing. You're surrounded by people, cars and malls. You're like a walking and talking tourist attraction. It's the most happening place I've ever been to. But I love it so much!

Don't forget to drive up the Hollywood Hills and take one of those iconic pictures to put on your fridge.

Yosemite National Park

Founded in 1864, Yosemite is one of the largest national parks in the United States. It encompasses 1,562 square miles of land and 680 square miles of Yosemite National Park. It's located in California about an hour south of San Francisco. Although the park has only grown since its formation, the rich history of its early days are made visible throughout its entirety. You can walk or hike around the entire park. But if you have the funds, you can have an adventure like no other and visit Yosemite via the Yosemite Valley Adventures Trips. These flights fly you above the cliffs and valleys to the summit of the highest point of the Sierra Nevadas, at an elevation of 7,421 feet.

Joshua Tree National Park

This national park, located in Southern California near Joshua Tree, is easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. In the summer months, you can hike through the national park for five hours and see amazing landscape filled with dry washes and sandstone formations. In the winter, park rangers offer snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Prison Camp This might be the most unique tourist spot you’ll ever come across. The Prison Camp in Death Valley National Park is the only campground for overnight visitors, and it was built in a former labor camp. Tourists can choose to sleep in prison-style living quarters or rent individual tents. I was very much interested in camping at this unique spot!

The Palm Springs Outlet Mall

Located on the west side of Palm Springs, the downtown center features over 90 stores at discount prices, and while you’re there, check out the weekly farmers market and browse the specialty shops that sell products from local designers and artisans. The Desert Botanical Gardens Tucked away in the middle of the desert is the 46-acre desert botanical garden. This experience is best described as “eclectic,” but worth a visit.

If you've been to California, please share your experience. Is there something that we should add to this list? Do you have any other California travel tips?
