Motivation is required to achieve goals you have set for yourself in all aspects of life whether they are long term or day to day tasks becoming successful , owning a house , be on top of your life or it can be waking up early from bed , Going to gym , learning guitar or just to be blissful .

When we hear some famous personality’s speech we get motivated, people also listen to motivational speakers to get motivated but his motivation does not last long and goes of very fast, so most people have a question that how to stay self motivated or achieve permanent motivation?

Here I am presenting to you a simple and beginners guide to stay self or permanently motivated that will guide you in all aspects of life.

Pay attention to inner well being

By this I mean that one should not focus only on outer accessories of life but also on knowing the nature of life so that you can conduct your life consciously. Whatever other speakers speak it will only motivate you for some time till it becomes a living reality for you or makes sense in your life.

Strive for your goal

Anything beyond survival will not enter your life unless you strive for it, for example when you were in primary classes and learning new languages you have to write those alphabets 100s of times to grasp them but today you can write them with your eyes closed but still somebody who didn’t strive for it in their childhood couldn’t write them still now.

Set long term goals

Spend some time on thinking about your goals and see if they will mean something to you even after 30 years or 50 years or even when you are on verge of dying will they still mean something to you. If anybody wants to decide and fix the goals of their life , it will be good if for sometime you take a break from all outside influences , bring yourself to certain level of clarity and joy , and decide your goals when you have a clear vision and in a joyful state.

Do smart work not so called “Hard work”

People have been continuously told that they must work hard to achieve their success. Instead one should work in field in which they get joy by doing that work. Invest enough time in perception then the work you do will become easy for you and you will work joyfully.

Take small-small steps towards your goal

Set daily, weekly, monthly targets and you will have no time to get demotivated as you will be busy day in and day out. For example if you want to exercise, do not jump immediately on 6 days per week schedule and start doing heavy compound movements; instead start with 2-3 days per week with 10-20 minute daily schedule with easy movements and build your stamina up from there.

Do Not have multiple goals simultaneously

You should have a straight path ahead of your goal, if you keep diverting here and there then you will not achieve any of your goals and end up nowhere. Concentrate on one goal first and then move higher up the ladder. You can set other goals after completion of this one goal.

Attach feelings to your goals

Feelings attach more power to your motivations. If you are doing it for your loved ones it becomes more powerful than doing it for just self interest. You should do it for something you really want for really good reasons like improving prestige of your loved ones and also your own prestige in society.

Let positive vibes come in

Avoid negative thoughts to the maximum extent, organize your thoughts, practice it, and stay away from negative self talk. Replace negative day to day used words with positive ones. Remain in circle of positive people and stay as far away as possible from negative and demotivating people.

Find people with similar goals

This would be immensely helpful if you know likeminded people who have similar goals as yours are, Push each other to achieve success. You can also go to online forums and talk to people about your goals.

Take printout of your goals, make achievement charts

Take a printout of your goal and post in your walls or in front of your bed which will remind you daily of your goals, this will help you get your excitement back when going gets tougher , you can also post a picture which will also help.

Make achievement charts can be like having a calendar marked with your progress or creating excel or word sheets or even storing in online software.

Quotes about self-motivation:

White hot and passionate is the only thing to be.” – Roald Dahl, “My Uncle Oswald”
