We Landed Three Sturgeon In Suisun Slough on 12/2/2021

Some anglers fished their entire lifetime and never land a sturgeon. We landed three on this one fishing trip. More impressive is that we got one between 40 to 60 inches in length, which is called a slotted sturgeon. That is, California Regulations allows an angler with valid California Fishing License and Sturgeon Tags to retain up to three slotted sturgeon per year. After numerous sturgeon fishing trips this year, both of my brothers have not caught a slotted sturgeon; and there's less than a month left before their sturgeon tags expired. An angler is also allowed to give his catch to another angler that met legal requirements to retain a sturgeon. Thus, I was able to give my catch to one of my brothers.
