During the week of May 11th, Farmer's Table in Bay Park will be hosting a Giving Week to give back to their local community. This family-friendly, farm-to-fork eatery has always felt a deep connection to its Bay Park patrons, and is a local neighborhood favorite. They have something for everyone, and is especially frequented by families since kids under 12 always eat free Monday through Thursday!
Next week, they're offering completely free pizzas to different servicepeople (military, firefighters, police) almost every day of the week. And we're not talking about boring old cheese pizzas. These are artisan, craft pizzas. In fact, the pizza at Farmer's Table is cooked in a Stefano Ferrara pizza oven that was imported from Napoli, promising a perfectly fluffy and chewy crust. They have over ten different pizzas to choose from, and there's a flavor for everyone. They even have cheese pizza, but with four different kinds of cheese, it's anything but boring.
Their Prosciutto Pizza comes with fresh mozzarella, shaved parmesan, tomato sauce, wild arugula, evoo, and of course, heapings of prosciutto. Their Roasted Chicken Pizza has fresh mozzarella, goat cheese, roasted garlic, pesto, broccoli, roasted cherry tomato, and chicken.
To take advantage of their Giving Week next week and invite the service people in your life to a free pizza, their schedule is as follows --
Monday, May 12, 3-6 p.m: Military
Tuesday, May 13, 3-7 p.m: 15% of all dinner proceeds will be going to Bay Park Elementary School. Just don't forget to mention to your server you're here for the Bay Park Elementary fundraiser!
Wednesday, May 14, 3-6 p.m: Police
Thursday, May 15 3-6 p.m: Firefighters
And if you don't fall into that category, don't fret. Farmer's Table still offers a free pizza during happy hour with the purchase of two cocktails. Happy Hour is every Sunday - Thursday 3-6 p.m. Considering how delicious their drinks are, it's a pretty good happy hour deal!
Perfect for the warming weather is the Watermelon Patch, a stiff cocktail that tastes like summer in a glass. It's made with vodka, watermelon & lemon juice, agave, and mint. Also, $1 from each order of this gets donated to a local organization in San Diego, as well as a handful of other select cocktails.
No strangers to giving back, Farmer's Table actively participates in helping the local community as much as possible. In the early days of lockdown, they also participated in San Diego-wide charitable campaigns for those impacted by the pandemic. Farmer's Table gave out free lunches every day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to essential workers like medical staff and first responders.
If you've yet to visit, their interior is homey and inviting, with a vast open floor plan and extremely unique decor. In fact, 80% of their decor is reclaimed material! So come in, bring the family, and sit awhile.
